About Course
Fundamentals of General Nursing Practice.
- Assist and help patients/clients with their basic human needs or daily living functions.
- Care and convey through verbal and non-verbal behaviours, nurturing, support, guidance concern, and understanding.
- Counsel patients/clients, their friends, and relatives when and where appropriate.
- Teaching and coaching , advising and providing information, so that patients/clients and significant others can understand, help, and perform aspects of health and nursing care.
- Carry out and implement medical health care treatments as part of the medical plan for patient care.
- Monitor and regular review through observations, questioning, assessing, and performing nursing care, relevant information about patient/client and their situation.
- Coordinate the health, and medical treatment delivered to the patient/client, referring to other health and social care services where necessary.
- Advocate and represent the patient/client when appropriate and support the vulnerable patient/clients where needed.
- Collect information about patients/clients, regarding their health and medical care in order to provide a high standard and quality of nursing care.
- Work within the parameters of the KNC code of professional conduct.
- Provide the core or fundamental aspects of nursing care.
